Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 10 June 2026
These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Lanna Horology ("we", "us", "our"), located at 64 Thanon Tha Phae, Mueang, Chiang Mai 50100, Thailand, accepts timepieces for care and provides watch repair services to clients ("you"). Please read them carefully before bringing a watch to us or submitting an enquiry through our website at lannafhorology.blog.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a contact form on our website, bringing a timepiece to our workshop, or instructing us to carry out any work, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services or website.
2. Our Services
We offer watch repair and care services including, but not limited to:
- Movement Cleaning and Lubrication — a measured clean and re-lubrication to ease friction and steady the rate, suited to automatics overdue for service
- Water Seal Renewal — renewal of gaskets and seals with a pressure check, suited to daily-worn watches before wet conditions
- Heirloom Care Package — a considered package for sentimental family timepieces combining movement servicing with gentle cosmetic care
The scope of any service will be discussed and agreed with you before any work begins. We will not proceed with additional work outside the agreed scope without notifying you first.
3. Estimates and Pricing
Prices listed on our website are indicative. A final quotation is provided after inspecting your timepiece. You are under no obligation to proceed once you receive a quote. We will only begin work after receiving your explicit approval.
If, during servicing, we discover work beyond the original scope is necessary, we will pause and contact you. We will not carry out additional work without your agreement.
Prices are stated in Thai Baht (฿) and are inclusive of labour unless otherwise noted. Parts, if required, will be itemised separately in the quotation.
4. Turnaround Times
Indicative turnaround times are provided for each service. These are estimates and may vary depending on the condition of the movement, parts availability, or workshop schedule. We will keep you informed if a delay arises. We do not accept liability for losses arising from delays outside our reasonable control.
5. Deposit and Payment
For standard services, payment is collected upon collection of the timepiece. For the Heirloom Care Package or work involving ordered parts, we may request a partial deposit before commencing work. Payment methods accepted will be confirmed at the time of agreement. Completed work must be collected and paid for within 60 days of notification, after which a reasonable storage fee may apply.
6. Collection of Your Timepiece
We will contact you when your watch is ready. Please collect it within a reasonable time. If a timepiece remains uncollected after 90 days of notification despite our reasonable attempts to contact you, we reserve the right to take steps in accordance with Thai law regarding abandoned property.
7. Care and Liability
We treat every timepiece entrusted to us with care and attention. We carry out work by hand and take reasonable steps to avoid damage. However, watch repair by its nature involves risk, particularly with aged or fragile pieces. Where we identify elevated risk, we will discuss this with you before proceeding.
Our liability in the event of damage caused by our workshop is limited to the repair or reasonable replacement of the affected component. We do not accept liability for:
- Pre-existing faults or fragility not reasonably identified at intake
- Natural deterioration of aged materials during handling
- Consequential or indirect losses
- Loss of sentimental or assessed monetary value beyond direct repair cost
We recommend that clients with highly valuable pieces consider their own insurance coverage prior to bringing a watch to us.
8. Heirloom and Sentimental Pieces
For timepieces of particular sentimental or historical value, we take additional care during intake, including photographing the piece before work begins (as included in the Heirloom Care Package). We are happy to discuss the condition of any piece with you in detail before proceeding. We will not undertake any cosmetic alteration — such as polishing — without explicit instruction and approval from you.
9. Warranties on Work
We stand behind the quality of our work. If a fault directly attributable to our servicing arises within three months of collection, we will inspect the piece and, if the fault is our responsibility, address it at no additional charge. This does not cover faults caused by impact, water ingress on non-sealed watches, or normal wear.
10. Your Responsibilities
When bringing a timepiece to us, please:
- Inform us of any known faults, damage history, or previous repair work
- Advise if the piece has particular sentimental or monetary value
- Ensure you are the rightful owner of the timepiece, or have authority to commission work on it
- Collect the piece promptly when notified
11. Website Use
Our website is provided for informational purposes and to allow enquiries to be submitted. You agree not to misuse the website or submit false information through the contact form. We reserve the right to decline any enquiry or service at our discretion.
